Brief Profile of Professor Dr. Dominic S.W. Wong (黃星華博士, 教授) GBS, OBE, JP, FCHMA, FCHAD, FAPCA

 

Professor Dr. Dominic S.W. Wong was the past Secretary for Housing of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.  As a member of the Administrative Service, he had filled various senior positions in Government departments, including the Education Department, the Trade and Industry Department, the Hong Kong Police Force and the Post Office, and in several Policy bureau of the Government being responsible for the formulation of government policies relating to Economic Services, Social Services, Narcotics, Civil Service, Education, Manpower and Housing.

 

Professor Wong was the Deputy Secretary for the Civil Service, the Deputy Secretary for Education and Manpower, the Postmaster General, the Telecommunications Authority and the Director of Education, before becoming the Secretary for Housing in December 1994.
